Choosing Your Team
What: An approach based on the performance management system that helps assure the right people are brought into the organization. Using the critical competencies the client has defined and the goals for each job, we help clients learn to create results-based job descriptions that accurately reflect the company's needs. Then we work with the client to institute a scenario-based approach to interviewing that helps select those who can actually do the job--as opposed to those who can only talk convincingly about doing it!Why: Clients use this approach to improve the results of their recruitment and hiring processes. It assures that those coming into the organization will be a good "fit" culturally, and that they will be able to perform the jobs they were hired to do. The approach also helps assure that new hires will understand what's expected of them and how they can be successful from their first day on the job.
Who: Aligning selection with vision and strategy is especially useful for fast-growing organizations or any other organization that needs to hire many people quickly. This process is also helpful for organizations that have a strong and distinctive culture, where it's important that employees "fit" well in order to succeed.
